Morphic is building tools to empower storytelling. Starting with Morphic Studio for Pro users.

Morphic Studio is an AI-powered video platform designed to create end-to-end controlled videos. Instead of prompt-to-video, they aim to provide refined control over each step, such as in-betweening in the case of animation.

Targeted users: Creators, Filmmakers, and Animators. In future: Game developers, non-creators but video enthusiasts.

Morphic provides multiple tools for different use cases. To start with, Morphic launches platform for pro/advanced creators to create very controlled animated videos.

We collaborate with both internal and external animation studios, production houses, creators, and YouTubers, offering support in content creation. By integrating advanced deep learning models into our production workflow, we enable our users to move efficiently from initial concepts to the final stages of content delivery.

Our ultimate goal is to create a Pixar-like tech-centric facility that enables producing Blockbuster content for a global audience of all ages.

Technology

At the heart of our application lies the utilization of HTML5 Canvas for the purpose of dynamic rendering and facilitating interactive graphics. Our client-side application is built upon the robust Svelte framework, providing a solid foundation for user interaction and interface management. On the backend, we have developed architecture using Node.js, augmented with a pub-sub layer that ensures efficient and reliable communication with machine learning pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop a highly complex Svelte-based editor platform for controlled videos. Build a performant web app capable of image and video editing through AI.
• Implement a pixel-perfect UI, created by our design team. Collaborate with them closely for improvements and the implementation of subsequent releases.
• Integrate necessary APIs into the Node.js backend, including an async messaging protocol from the ML backend.
• Solve for performance and memory optimizations while pushing the limits of building in a browser.
• Design and manage the mix of cloud/on-prem architecture, optimizing for the throughput while not compromising the user experience.
• Work closely with ML engineers to accommodate the latest research and models in the platform and scale the infrastructure accordingly.

Must Have

• Experience as a front-end/full-stack engineer, specializing in building high-performance web applications.
• Proficiency in CSS, HTML, and frameworks such as Vue, React.js, and Svelte.
• Fluency with common web technologies and ability to pick the best tech stack for the given problem statement.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Excited to join a small team that moves very quickly.

Nice to Have

• Some understanding of the state-of-the-art in GenAI and the ability to collaborate with internal or external ML Engineers for brainstorming.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or Software Engineering will be good to have but not mandatory.
